Privacy on PocketInk

# What this site collects

PocketInk is a static documentation site. There are no accounts, no comments, no newsletters, and no upload forms. We do not ask you to create a login and we do not store your e-reader library, firmware dumps, or payment details.

In production, pages load Google Analytics (gtag) after the page is usable. Analytics records ordinary web-log facts: page path, referrer, approximate geography, device class, and outbound clicks on sponsored affiliate links. Local development does not send analytics. We do not sell that data and we do not use it to build a marketing profile of you.

# Cookies, affiliates, and third parties

Affiliate links to Amazon, Xteink (Impact), and other merchants may set their own cookies when you follow them. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Some other links are affiliate links; a commission does not change the price you pay. Those merchants have their own privacy policies. We do not see your order unless you later email us about it.

The theme toggle stores a preference in your browser (localStorage) so the next visit keeps paper or ink mode. That value never leaves your device. Embedded product images and fonts are served from this site.

# What we do not do

We do not run ads from an ad network. We do not sell, rent, or trade an email list, because we do not keep one. We do not require JavaScript to read the guides; the HTML is generated at build time. In-browser tools (wallpaper maker, firmware chooser) run locally in your browser and do not upload the photo or the quiz answers.

If you email the editorial inbox, the message lives in that mailbox so we can reply. We do not add you to a list. Ask us to delete a thread and we will. For a correction or a privacy request, write to the address on /contact/.

# Changes

This page describes the site as it works today. If collection practices change (a new analytics vendor, a comment host, an account system), this page will say so. Questions: hello@pocketink.io.
